Last updated: 1 October 2026. How VanLoader handles your personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. What we collect
- Quote & booking details: postcode, service, size, name, email, phone and address.
- Photos / descriptions you provide to price the job accurately.
- Payment details: handled securely by our payment provider (Stripe) — we never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage data: anonymous analytics about how the site and funnel are used.
2. How we use it
To give you a quote, arrange and manage your job, process payment, keep you updated, and — with consent where required — tell you about relevant services. Photos are used to confirm your fixed price and may be processed by an automated valuation tool to help us estimate accurately.
3. Who we share it with
We share the details necessary to carry out your job with the independent, licensed partner crew assigned to your booking. We use trusted processors (payments, hosting, email, and an AI vision provider for photo-based estimates) under appropriate agreements. We do not sell your data.
4. How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise them. Photos are retained only as long as needed to price and complete your job.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, or object to its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@vanloader.co.uk. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
6. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to run the booking funnel and, where enabled, analytics and advertising tags (e.g. Google) to measure and improve our marketing. Control cookies via your browser settings.
